Crochet Nerd?

I can double crochet and single crochet now because of that project, so at least I learned something!
That tapered edge you see is my attempt at shaping the hat. :)

I'm learning how to crochet! For some reason though, I ran out of the yarn it gave me. Maybe I screwed it up. Well, it still looks like a hat.
